For vegetables and fruits, buy organic. It’s not a perfect solution, but you greatly increase the nutrient density and decrease the toxicity of the chemicals on and in your food. For animal protein, regenerative is best, grass-fed is next, and organic has less meaning. Fish should be wild-caught and lower on the food chain to minimize toxins — think SMASH: Sardines, Mackerel, Anchovies, Salmon, and Halibut.
